Randy started out in 1979 when he joined and helped form the Central Valley band, Kickback. He was just 14 when this
band got started, with the help of several much older friends in their late 20's. One happened to be his boss from his first
part-time job. Kickback was together until 1984, when they disbanded due to circumstances in their own personal lives. He
played off and on with different people and bands through the 80's, mainly as a supporting musician. In 1993, he moved
to Tennessee near the Memphis area, and was exposed to the Delta blues scene, as well as Nashville. In 2003, he came
back to California, and joined the Hollywood r+b, soul band Remedy. Remedy was quickly noticed on the Sunset Strip, getting
picked up by Sean Healey Productions. They played the major clubs in Hollywood until July of 2004, when Remedy disbanded due
to different commitment levels. Randy then relocated to the Bay Area, decided to pursue a solo cd, as well as recording for
other artists, and doing some recording and writing with Willie Hines of Stockton. Randy is currently back in Tennessee, completing
his solo cd.
